Guest Lecture at LTA School of Beauty, Thane
On 12th February 2026, LTA School of Beauty hosted a compelling guest lecture by Sareena Acharya, National Technical Head at Cavincare Professional, at its Thane centre. The session witnessed full attendance. This reflects the institution’s strong culture of encouraging direct industry engagement.
Notably, the interaction was even more meaningful because of Sareena’s personal connection with the academy. She began her professional journey here. Therefore, her return was both reflective and aspirational for current students.
Industry Insights: Beyond Technical Skills
During the session, Sareena emphasised that technical skill alone does not define a successful beauty professional. Instead, she highlighted the emotional intelligence required in the industry.
“This business is all about touch business,” she explained.
According to her, beauty services involve entering a client’s personal space. Hence, empathy and sensitivity become essential.
“It’s very important that you empathize with your client and respectfully take care of their emotions, and not only their hair and skin.”
Her message reinforced that success in beauty lies in both skill and human connection.
Practice, Performance and Professional Growth
Furthermore, Sareena addressed the balance between theory and practical experience. She shared a simple yet powerful mantra:
“You have to dramatize. You have to be the hero of that moment.”
She added that excellence comes from relentless effort.
“To perform your skills 100%, it comes with only one mantra — practice, practice, practice.”
Clearly, her message was direct: mastery is sustained through continuous refinement, even decades into one’s career.
Leadership Perspective on Industry Immersion
Biju Nair, Co-Founder of the academy, noted that industry immersion plays a critical role in shaping well-rounded professionals. Exposure to leaders like Sareena helps bridge classroom learning with real-world expectations.
Similarly, Vaishali Shah, Founder, added that returning alumni demonstrate the strength of the institution’s foundation. In fact, such moments serve as tangible proof of long-term career growth.

Student Takeaways from the Session
For students, the lecture was transformative. Khushbu Solanki, a makeup artist from the academy, shared her reflection:
“Today I had a lecture with Sareena Ma’am and I learnt two things from her. First, she is confident. We should always be confident. And second, I am the hero.”
Such feedback highlights how industry-led sessions build not just technical skills, but also confidence and identity.
Continuing Industry Engagement at LTA School of Beauty
Through sessions like these, LTA School of Beauty continues to align academic rigor with industry realities. As a result, students gain practical exposure, mentorship and clarity about professional expectations.
By integrating classroom education with real-world leadership insights, the institute reinforces its commitment to professional excellence.
